It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Aloysius Tochukwu Eze, age 34, on September 8, 2025, while serving in his role as a dedicated nurse at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Tochukwu died doing what he loved-caring for others with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment. Born on June 17, 1991, in Enugu State, Nigeria, Tochukwu was a devoted husband to Maryann Eze and a loving father to four beautiful children. His family was the center of his world, and he approached fatherhood with tenderness and boundless energy. He gave his children the gift of feeling deeply loved and supported. As a nurse, Tochukwu was known for his calm presence, tireless work ethic, and ability to bring comfort in the most difficult moments. He touched countless lives-patients, colleagues, and families alike-with his gentle care and quiet strength. Outside of work, Tochukwu enjoyed Soccer and Afrobeat, and he was always the first to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. His kindness was effortless, his love genuine, and his impact immeasurable. He is survived by his wife, their children, his mother, Siblings, In-laws and other close relatives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on September 19, 2025, at St Josephine Bakkita Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43229, with visitation beginning at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family. Though his time with us was far too short, Tochukwu leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and strength that will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him. Day Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Aloysius Tochukwu Eze.
