Obituary

Christopher John Tenaglia, 61, of Wrentham passed away, surrounded by his family on July 25 at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Heather A. (Zahner) Tenaglia for the past 32 years.
Born in Boston on December 16, 1963, the son of the late Arthur and Catina (Piccadaci) Tenaglia, Chris was raised in Brighton and had lived in Wrentham for the past 32 years.
Chris spent his career working for the family painting contracting business.
Growing up, he spent his summers with his family at their house on Monument Beach in Cape Cod. A place that he later shared with his wife and children.
He had many talents and hobbies, including woodworking, cooking, baking, and more recently, finger knitting blankets for family, friends, and furballs.
Chris's favorite pastime was camping and spending as much time as he could with his family and friends. His favorite places to camp were in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and near the beach along the coast of Maine. He could always be found, sitting around the campfire as the life of the party. He was known for his incredibly funny sense of humor and always made everyone around him feel loved.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jaclyn Esteves and her husband Nathan of North Attleboro, Nicholas Tenaglia and Joy Petersen of North Attleboro, Andrew Tenaglia of Wrentham, and his granddaughter, Autumn Esteves.
He is also survived by his siblings, Madeline Wolfe and her late husband Steve of North Andover, Diane Lupo and her husband Tony of Newton, Arthur Tenaglia and his wife Karen of Hull and Gene Tenaglia of Norwood.
He is also survived by his dear friend Mark Freire and his wife Sheila of Berkley as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31 in St. Mary's Church, Wrentham at 10:30 AM
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to P.A.W.S Project Foundation at pawsprojectfoundation.org/donate
