Linda Gunther, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with her loving sons and her sister by her side.

Born May 11, 1952, in South Bend, IN, Linda was the daughter of Hilton L. and Adelaide S. (Ciesielski) Gramps.

Linda proudly served the Cass County community as an animal control officer in the late 70's. She later worked as a Cass County Sherriff's Department dispatcher before earning her rank of Captain of the Cass County Corrections Department, where she remained, until her retirement. Family and friends were extremely important to Linda, and she will be missed by many.

Surviving are her two sons, Todd (Carmen) Clement, and Adam (Debbie) Clement; step-daughter, Gayla Deering; six grandchildren, Morgan Clement, Dane Clement, Cpl. Cade Clement (USMC), Brooklyn O'Brien, Charlee Deering, and Kady Deering; sister, Marilyn (Ron) Portolese; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband of 30 years, Ronald Gunther on September 30, 2025; parents, Hilton and Adelaide Gramps; and sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Bennett Alliss.

Linda's family would like to give a special heartfelt thank-you to Devon and Jennifer with Centrica Care Hospice for the care and compassion they provided both Linda and her family during her final days.

Honoring Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place, and her family will be celebrating her life privately.
