Linda L. Guyre, 76, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. Born on September 25, 1948, in Marion, Linda was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Brown) Leslie. She graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1967 and went on to pursue a career in nursing – a calling that reflected her deep compassion and dedication to helping others. Linda worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Marion General Hospital, where she served patients with compassion until her retirement.
Linda was a devoted mother to her three children, Malissa K. (Michael) Lautzenheiser, Christopher M. Guyre, and Derik B. (Sarah) Guyre. Her legacy continues through her 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Leslie and her sister, Cathy Lovelady.
Linda had a generous spirit and a strong will that guided her through life's challenges. She was known for being a wonderful mom and a loyal friend who would help anyone in need. Her love for family was evident in the countless afghans, hats, scarves, and doll clothes she crocheted as gifts for those she cared about. She also found joy in watching "Days of Our Lives" and especially cherished time spent spoiling her grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10:30am-12:30am in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion.
