Linda Habarka Obituary

Linda Habarka passed Monday, May 27, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born April 19, 1950, in Washington, the first daughter of Joseph and Lois Breckons of Gretna. She attended Chartiers-Houston High School graduating in 1968. Linda also graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with an education degree. Linda spent her teaching career within the Woodland Hills School District, retiring in 2007. She taught seventh and eighth grade math; there she often enjoyed the company of her best work friends, Marilyn and Rose. On October 21, 1978, Linda married the late John Habarka. She enjoyed golf, fishing, and going to the beach and other vacations. Linda enjoyed many Sunday afternoon drives always stopping at Breezy Heights with her Aunt Mary and Mom. Linda devoted her life to caring for others. Surviving are her mother, Lois Breckons; brother, Joe Breckons Jr. (wife Robin); sister, Lois Ann Casper; nephew, Joseph Breckons III (wife Jennifer); and great-niece, Penelope, whom she took great joy in. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, with Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Additional information and guest book are available at www.NealFuneralHomes.com
