Linda K. "McDaniel" Howell

Linda K. McDaniel Howell, 77, of Warren, Indiana, passed away at her townhome on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

She was born on January 6, 1948, the daughter of LaMoine and Maxine (Anderson) McDaniel. Linda was a graduate of Warren High School and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charlie Howell, on the beautiful day of May 24, 1969, at Applegate Chapel in Warren. Together, they shared a lifetime filled with love, faith, and adventure until his passing on May 13, 2016.

Linda was a devoted member of Solid Rock Church in Warren, where she found great joy in her faith and in serving others. She was especially active in planning and organizing special dinners and creating heartfelt greeting cards through the Church's card ministry program, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome and cared for. Her giving spirit and kind heart touched countless lives in her community.

Linda loved to travel and was proud to have visited all 50 states and over 20 countries, across 4 continents. She enjoyed playing card games of all sorts and gardening. She also found her greatest joy in supporting her grandchildren, attending their activities and cheering them on with pride and love.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Nick) Barry of Montpelier, IN; two sons, Mack (Jenny) Howell of Zionsville, IN, and Alex (Erica) Howell of Fort Wayne, IN; seven beloved grandchildren, Carson Howell, Sam Barry, Amelia Herdman, Lauren Howell, Jacob Barry, Matthew Barry, and Riley Howell; brother-in-law, Robert Burish of Lowell, IN; and a brother, Donald McDaniel of Macatawa, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LaMoine and Maxine McDaniel; her husband, Charlie Howell; and her sisters, Diana Wood and Karen Burish.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, located at 203 N. Matilda Street, Warren. A celebration of Linda's life will follow at 2 pm, with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren, next to her husband.
