Linda Pearle Woodrum Hudnell, 81, of Lancaster, OH passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 after a brief illness at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1945 in Nelsonville, OH to the late Chester and Margaret Woodrum.
She retired from Crestview Rehabilitation, where she was an award-winning STNA and was much loved. After retirement, she cared for many patients in multiple home-based facilities. Throughout her expansive career, the respectful care she showed for her patients was a shining example in humility and love.
Linda is survived by her two daughters-in-law, Christine (Paul) Curtis, and Kristie Hudnell. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Shawn (Jaimee) Hudnell, Natasha (Jacob) Grimmett, Cory Jones, Krystle Hudnell, Kassi (Garrett) Tobin, Leah (Kedar) Hirve, and Hannah (Colin) Deck, as well as many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Brenda Russell, Wilma (Jim) McDonald, and Jim (Jan) Woodrum who will deeply feel the loss of their oldest remaining sibling.
Linda was met in heaven by the love of her life Sherman, and her children Stan, Terra, and Eric. Her parents, as well as her siblings Reva, Loretta, Kathy, Ella, Barbara, David, and Mary were also there to meet her.
Linda was a beautiful, kind soul who never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile, a great sense of humor, and usually an interesting fact she learned from Jeopardy! She never passed up an opportunity to help someone, and her favorite way to do that was through delivering a delicious homemade meal.
There will be a graveside service March 21, 2026 at 11am at Floral Hills Cemetery, 351 Coonpath Rd NE, Lancaster, OH 43130. We ask you to bring along your wind chimes, so we can feel and hear her with us at the service.
