Linda Huffman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kahlert Funeral & Cremations - Maysville on Mar. 28, 2026.
Linda Sue Lanier Huffman, age 68, of Maysville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 27, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1958, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and she lived a life that was truly blessed.

Linda was a Christian woman whose life reflected the quiet strength of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her loving spirit and her gentle heart, and those who knew her will remember the warmth she carried into every room. Her faith in God was an important part of her life, and she faced each day with a spirit of grace and trust in the Lord. Her life was a blessing to many, and her memory will remain a comfort to all who loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Renee Huffman-Taylor of Swansboro; her sons, Jeremy Huffman and his wife, Charity, of Maysville, and Pakston Huffman and his wife, Tiffany, of Maysville; her brother, Kenneth James Lanier and his wife, Wanda, of Maysville; and her beloved grandchildren, Braxton, Carter, Sadie, Raylan, and Madisyn. She also leaves behind many treasured memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Ray Huffman, and her parents, J.C. and Madeline Lanier.

Linda was a woman who loved her family deeply. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and some of her happiest moments were found riding around on the golf cart with her grandkids, watching their dance recitals, and cheering at their baseball games. Her family was the center of her world, and she found joy in the simple, meaningful moments they shared together. Her love was steady, sincere, and unconditional, and it will be remembered always.

When she was not with her family, Linda could often be found outside enjoying the beauty of God's creation. She loved sitting and watching the birds and squirrels, tending to her garden, soaking up the sun at the beach, or leisurely reading. These peaceful moments reflected her appreciation for life's quiet blessings. She had a way of finding contentment in the everyday, and her gentle presence brought calm and comfort to those around her.

Linda will be remembered as a devoted professional, a caring colleague, and a person who took great pride in the work she did each day. Her long career with Aflac reflected not only her strong commitment to her position, but also the respect she earned from those who knew her and worked alongside her. Throughout the years, she approached her responsibilities with dedication, grace, and a genuine desire to serve others. Her AFLAC career took her as far as Mississippi for traveling, where she carried the same steady professionalism and warm spirit that defined her work at home. She took immense pride in helping her policyholders, and that sense of purpose remained at the center of her career for all of her 33 years with the company.

Those who knew Linda would describe her as kind, faith-filled, and loving. She was a kindhearted woman whose devotion to family will never be forgotten. Her life was a testimony to the values she held dear, and she lived in a way that honored the Lord and blessed her loved ones.

As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Those words reflect the spirit of a life well lived, and they speak beautifully of Linda's journey on this earth. She has now entered into the presence of her Savior, where there is peace, rest, and joy everlasting.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday March 31, 2026, 1:00 pm at White Oak Community Church with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Huffman Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, March 30, 2026, at White Oak Community Church from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
