Linda Gale James

Linda Gale James, 64, of Weston, WV peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Born on October 20, 1961 in Weston, WV, Linda was the daughter of the late Oran Sprouse and Wilma Clem-Sprouse. Linda was united in marriage on August 23, 1978, to her loving husband of 47 years, Ernest Linn James, who will miss her dearly.

Cherishing their memories of Linda are her husband, Ernest, daughters, Donna James and companion, Robert Tomaro of Weston and Amanda Queen of Jane Lew, grandchildren, Makeena Michael and husband, Zion, Megan and Madison Metz, and Lucas and Jackson Queen, close family friend, Ed Walker, several nieces and nephews, and former son in law, Thomas Queen.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Clem and sister, Lisa Ferrell.

Linda was a graduate of Lewis County High School in 1978. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Weston Lodge #1376. Linda was a daycare provider for many over the years, building a special bond with each child and loving and nurturing them as her own. She was known for her passion and love of cooking, shopping, traveling, and camping at Bergoo in Webster County. Above all, Linda's family was her greatest blessing, especially her grandbabies. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be remembered in their hearts.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston, WV, on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chad Metz officiating.
