Carol Sue Carpenter, 75, of Turnertown, formerly of Roanoke, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was born in Weston, WV on November 6, 1950 daughter of the late Hattie E. Metz and Albert R. Wiant, Jr. Sue was united in marriage on February 12, 1977 to her loving husband of 48 years, Danny T. (Tom) Carpenter, who survives.

Cherishing their memories of Sue are her husband, Tom, sister, Beverly Ann Conrad and husband, Jerry of Weston, WV, brother, Richard Lee Wiant and wife, Cookie of White Sulphur Springs, WV, her loving companion, Jospehine, extended family, Robin and Larry Bender, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Robert Paul Wiant, Ronald Wayne Wiant, Stephen Andrew Wiant, and Roy Wiant.

Carol was a homemaker. She was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed gardening in her blackberry patch and growing her own plants. Sue had many hobbies, including making ceramics and canning, but above all she cherished being a homemaker and loving wife to her husband, Tom.

A private visitation and service will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Vaughn officiating. Private interment will follow services at the Mitchell Cemetery in Roanoke, WV. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Sue may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
