 Linda Diane Stuart Johnson, 71, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at her residence in Staunton.

She was born on July 7, 1953, in Staunton to the late Theodore Junior and Charlene Rebecca Walker Stuart.

Linda had a vibrant spirit that shone through in her many interests. She enjoyed playing the lottery, always hoping for that lucky ticket. A passionate sports fan, she loved all sports, often cheering on her favorite teams. Yet, it was her family that truly defined her life. Linda cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were always at the forefront of her life.

She was a nurturing soul, always taking care of others and lifting their spirits with her infectious laughter and genuine care.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Angelo Johnson; her sons, Erskine Lee Walker and Richard Lee Walker, and Daniel Lee Walker and his wife, Michelle; her brother, Kim Theodore Stuart and his wife, Gail; her sisters, Patricia Gail Stuart, and Susan Elaine Stuart Brown and her husband, Charles; her grandchildren, Jayla, Jayden, Jazen, Antonio “Lee” and his wife, Patrice, Kiante, Amarah, Erskine, Jr., Aaliyah, Shakira, and Indiona, Amea, Troy, and Shaquielle; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Tyrone Lamont, Sr., Gary, and Richard Stuart; her sister, Judy A. Stuart and her first husband, Daniel Lee Simms.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton with Reverend Byron Wood officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of her husband, Michael Johnson. (630 B Street, Staunton, VA 24401).
