Linda Lane Judge, 77, of West Pittston, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
The loving wife of her childhood sweetheart, Raymond V. Judge, they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on Oct. 21, 2024.
Linda was the daughter of the late Edward and Shirley Dommermuth Lane, Avoca.
She was a 1965 graduate of West Pittston High School and attended East Stroudsburg State College. Linda retired from U.S. Food Service as a marketing assistant where she helped produce sales catalogues, organize food shows, and promote sales events.
A caring and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, nothing gave Linda more joy than spending time with her family. Hot cups of coffee and afternoon catnaps were a close second. An avid gardener, knitter, and crafter, Linda spent many hours tending to her flower gardens, knitting in the evening hours, and turning antique chairs and old windowpanes into works of art. Knitting scarves was her specialty, and she joyfully donated most to local nursing homes.
Active in the community, Linda served on the West Pittston Library Board, was a treasurer of the West Pittston Little League, and was an assistant leader of the local Girl Scout troop.
Linda is survived by her husband, Raymond; son, Raymond M. (Stacey); daughter Megan (John Galiardi); grandchildren, Raymond J. Judge and Lily Judge; brothers, Richard Lane (Bonnie) and Michael Lane (Judy); sister, Pat Martire (Lou); sister-in-law, Ellen Gavich (Frank); and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother Howard Lane.
The Judge family would like to thank the wonderful staff at United Methodist Home, Tunkhannock campus, for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Linda in the months prior to her passing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Linda can be made to the West Pittston High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund in care of Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilke-Barre.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ray, may your memories, though they be good or bad, with Linda as your wife, never be forgotten. When you find it hard to cope, close your eyes, call her name & she will always be by your side. The love you shared together, as one, will go on always till you meet again in God's heavenly kingdom.
RIP,Linda.

Ray-my deepest condolences to a fellow classmate. This is a great loss. Linda was a sweetheart. She was always bubbly and full of life. She was very charitable which is not entirely surprising. RIP, Linda, RIP. May God grant you and her family some peace.

I grew up with Linda and we had so much fun in our neighborhood!
We did summer Varierty shows (so silly, serious, with our famous "Strawberry Club" and charged admission from our families and friends!
Using the monies to design our flag, make lemonade and cookies!
Her Mom/Dad, brothers and the Dommermuth family were so loving to
"Jay" / " Joe" my mom and dad and my older sister and brother.
On behalf of my brother and sister I send my deepest condolences to Ray and his children, and to the Lane Family Members.
