Linda Lee Cassida Kernick, 75, of Candler, NC passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Mission Hospital. Born in Asheville, NC on February 27, 1947 to the late Jess and Bonnie Hicks Cassida. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lloyd Cassida, Ruth Stamey and Tammy Phillips.
An avid seamstress, Linda loved photography and spending time with her family. She served in the US Air Force as a Captain Nurse and following her service to our country, she was a long time nurse at Mission Hospital where she spent many years in the ICU and CCU departments.
Linda is survived by her sister, Jane Conner; daughter, Melissa Kernick; nieces, Teresa Williams, Candice Williams Stover, Tabatha Williams, Debbie Williams, Ashesha Marie Crouch and Shanna Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles George Veterans Medical Center or Mission Hospital, 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801.
The care of Ms. Kernick has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler and an online memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
