Linda Kimbley passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene surrounded by family.

Linda was born April 20, 1951, to Merle and Flossie Arnot of Troy. Growing up as one of eight children, Linda had a deep love for family that stayed with her throughout her life. In 1969 she welcomed a son, Joe Yockey, and in 1970, another son Tim Yockey.

She married Burt Kimbley on March 24, 1975 and shared many happy years with him until his passing in 2007. In 2012, she later met Jeff Rinard, with whom she enjoyed 14 cherished years.

Known for a warm personality, great sense of humor and kind heart; she was loved by many. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, great conversation, bowling and time spent with those she loved. She could often be found in the company of her sisters, Merlyee, Judy and Vicki, with whom she shared a close and loving bond.

She is survived by her sons Joe (Pilar) Yockey, Tim (Sheree) Yockey; grandchildren Anthony Yockey, TJ Yockey, McKenna (Nick) Toney, Madisen (Kourtney) Yockey, James (Sharyar) Asif and Alonso Yockey; her longtime companion Jeff Rinard; many siblings, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Flossie Arnot; her husband of 30 years, Burt Kimbley; and brother, Larry Arnot.

Funeral services will be held later this year in the summer, with more details provided by the family at a later date.
