Linda L. Knight, age 59, of Lancaster, went to be with her Heavenly family on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster. She was born to Myra (Steinmetz) and Glen Murphy Sr., on July 17, 1963. Linda was married to David L. Knight, Sr., on September 18. 1981, and two children were born to this union, David Lee, Jr. and Ashley. She was a stay-at-home mother until David became ill and could no longer work. She then worked at the CAP office and then at Land’s End for 20+ years until her retirement. Linda loved spending time with family and friends and her three grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved her fur baby cats over the years, the most recent, Lovely. Linda enjoyed a good cup of coffee and the company of her besties, Karen and Joan. She also loved to sit at a campfire, listening to her brother, Glen, play the guitar and singing along. Linda had a kind soul and would help whomever she could.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David; siblings: Victor, Charlotte, and Floyd; a niece, Nicole; her maternal grandparents: Charlotte (Alderman) and Keith Steinmetz; her paternal grandparents: Muriel (Wells) and Floyd E. Murphy, Sr.
Survivors include her two children: David Lee (Danielle) Knight, Jr., of Benton, WI; Ashley (Derek) Turner of Richland Center, WI; three grandchildren: James, Shelby, and Zoey; numerous nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart.
Linda will be deeply missed on this earth, and we know she will fly high.
A Memorial Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Noon at Memorial Park, 298 S Grant St., Lancaster. Lunch will be served. This celebration will also honor her 60th birthday that she had planned. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.

I will always remember and admire the strong woman you were and I aspire to be. You taught me how to do my makeup and thin my brows and gave me so many beautiful memories that I will cherish and never forget. I'm still sorry about ruining your fancy towels. I learned to be patient with my children by the way I watched you with yours growing up. I enjoyed the many laughs we spent together and will carry those memories with me in my heart. We miss you very much already.
