Linda L. Crowe Dykes, age 78, passed away peacefully on 12-8-2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Washington Parish, Linda spent her life creating beauty, warmth, and comfort wherever she went.
Linda had a special gift for bringing things to life. She loved planting flowers and tending to her flower beds, finding joy in watching each bloom unfold. She also enjoyed repainting sculptures, taking worn and forgotten pieces and transforming them with patience, color, and care. These hobbies reflected exactly who she was a nurturer, a creator, and someone who saw potential and beauty in everything around her. She also found much joy in Search a word puzzles.
She is survived by her Brother Jerry Crowe and sister in law Carol Crowe; Her Son, John D. Farias; her grandchildren, Kacy R. Farias and Meggian A. Farias (Thailyr Spears); and her great-grandchildren, Dawson Withers, Willis Penton III, Braylin Spears, and Adalynn Spears.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and memories that her family will forever cherish.Proceeded in death by: Sherwood Dykes (husband) Clyde Crowe (Father) Verlie Walker Crowe (Mother), Clyde Ronnie Crowe (brother), Gaylon Crowe (brother), Joe Crowe (brother) Though her absence leaves a deep ache, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace. The love she poured into her home, her garden, her art, and especially her family will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
