Linda Lalus Obituary
Loving mother, grandmother, & sister
Prospect: Linda (Cardella) Lalus, 76, entered the gates of Heaven unexpectedly on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her home. She recently relocated to Cheshire from Prospect where she lived for over forty-five years. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald J. Lalus who passed away in 2004.
Linda was born in Waterbury on December 31, 1948, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Raffaela "Lena" (Calvo) Cardella. She was a graduate of J.F. Kennedy High School in Waterbury Class of 1966. She started her longtime career with her father Salvatore Cardella in the family jewelery business. After Sal's retirement she joined forces with her siblings and they became partners of Cardella's Fine Jewelers in Waterbury for many years until her retirement. She was into fashion and style throughout her life. She enjoyed reading novels and was a very religious person and a devote communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Prospect. Family was her first and main priority and she truly loved to spend quality time with them, especially her three grandchildren that she loved and adored.
She leaves her two children, Robert J. Lalus of Seattle, WA, and Marlene Lalus-Berson of Cheshire, her three loving grandchildren, Glen Lalus of Statesville, NC and Alex and Logan Berson of Cheshire, her brother, Peter Cardella of Milford, CT, and a sister, Diane Cardella of Portland, CT. She was predeceased by a younger sister, Diane Cardella who died as a child and her brother, Richard Cardella.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 4 City Union Road, Prospect. Everyone wishing to attend the Mass for Linda is asked to meet directly at the Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow the Mass at Prospect Cemetery. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with assisting with Linda's services.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the passing of your beautiful sweet mom, sister, grandma. She was the best friend of my sister Kathy Synnott until her passing. They loved one another & now are joined together once more. May God bring all of your family comfort during this most mournful time. You will be missed Linda. Love you. Patti Muzyka
