Linda Kay Layman, of Crocker, MO, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 81.

Linda was born on October 7, 1943, in St. James, MO, to the late John Jefferson Collins and Mary Ethel (Boone) Collins. She married Delmar "Leon" Layman on November 11, 1961, in Crocker, MO. To this union, three children were born: Brian, Stacey, and Tracey.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Collins; three sisters, Helen Prescott, Chris Helms, Dorene Parrish; and one nephew, Michael Collins.

Linda loved to read and was a loving and creative soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She owned and operated her own floral shop, where she poured her heart into crafting beautiful arrangements that brought smiles to many. In her free time, she enjoyed curling up with a good book, doing cross word puzzles and word searches, bowling with friends, and creating handmade treasures through crocheting. She also had a love for dogs and always welcomed all of the doggy kisses. Above all, Linda cherished the moments spent with her children and grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Grammy." Their laughter and love meant the world to her.

Her warmth, creativity, and deep devotion to family will be remembered always, and the title she most treasured was simply, "Grammy."

Linda will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her husband, Leon Layman of Crocker, MO; son, Brian Layman of Crocker, MO; daughters, Stacey Moore and husband Jimmy of Crocker, MO, and Tracey Smith of Crocker, MO; five grandchildren, Zach Moore, Courtney Smith, Hannah Moore, Brandon Smith, and Caitlin Moore; and five great-grandchildren, Brody, Kynlee, Keeton, Kolt, and Parker.

In accordance with her wishes, Linda was cremated. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 4 pm - 7 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Humboldt 1854, 104 N. Commercial St in Crocker, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Loving Paws Adoption Center in Crocker would be appreciated.
