Linda Frances Learn born on the Ides of March 1947 to N. Arden Learn and Mary Dzubia of Stevensville PA, passed away 26 February 2025 at the age of 77.
Linda's life can be summed up by two things: Art and Teaching. Over her time on earth she was an Elementary Art Teacher for the Wyalusing School District, the proprietor of Class Act Fabrics in Tunkhannock PA where she also taught people to sew and create costumes and later in life she returned to college and became an Art Therapist. She was a long time member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) where she was known as Mistress Marie Piekneplòtno and sold fabrics and supplies for costuming and taught fiber arts and history of fabrics.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Arden Rogers (49); Daughter-in-law, Anlia Bolinger(46) both of Windsor NY; six grandchildren, Daniel II (28) of Las Vegas NV, Sierra (26) of Stanton OR, David (26) of Rolla MO, Nathen (24) of Rolla MO, Aaron (23) of Jefferson City MO, and John (21) of Windsor NY; two great-granddaughters, Piper (3) and Harper (2mo) of Rolla MO and niece Michele Clapper Hanna of Mooresville NC.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Parkinson's research of your choice. Linda didn't want an organized memorial service, instead she would have liked you to do your art or teach someone something. Cook, bake, paint, sculpt, carve, mold, draw, caligraph, write, sew, chisel, film, play, sing, do whatever it is you do to create and bring beauty into the world and think of her.
Online condolences may be made at: www.omaddenfh.com. Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville. A MADDEN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME.
