MANSFIELD: Linda C. Leduke passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 27, 2024. She was 68.
She was born on September 15,1956 in Lancaster, Ohio to parents Norman and Catharine "Katie" (Bookwalter) White. After high school Linda went on to study Opera at Capital University and obtained her Bachelor's of Arts. In her professional life she worked as a nursing aide for several years at multiple healthcare facilities both in Ohio and in Florida.
Linda loved to sing, and would take every opportunity to do just that. Throughout her life she sang at countless weddings and church services, and oftentimes wherever she was just for fun. Most recently she had the honor of being the representative for the Arbors of Mifflin a the Ageless King and Queen Competition during the Richland County Fair, where she sang beautifully for her competitors and audience members. For the last seven months Linda resided at the Arbors of Mifflin, where she quickly became a staff favorite. She was always engaging in their programs, starting a choir, making endless crafts, and generally uplifting all of those around her with a smile. Her time working in healthcare followed her throughout life, which was evident in her interactions with fellow residents- she knew everyone by name and made sure to genuinely check in on her neighbors and their wellbeing despite her own health issues. She will truly be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
She is survived by her brother Brian (Christy) White, sister-in-law Connie White, nieces and nephew Michelle (David) Swigert, Christina (Danny) Loper, Matthew (Tyline) White, and Rebecca (Seth) Geib, several step nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews, and her best friend Jen Henderson.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother Tim White, and her significant other David Jenkins.
Linda's family will receive guests on Friday Oct 11, 2024 from 3-4:30 pm at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel, where a memorial service honoring her life will be held immediately after. Celebrant Dave Roberts will speak.
Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Humane Society of Richland County at 3025 Park Ave W, Ontario, Ohio 44906.
