Linda "Gail" Leemon

Linda G. Leemon (nee Mendicino), affectionately known as "Gail" passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the age of 68 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Clare (nee McEntee) and Ross Mendicino, beloved wife of James Leemon, and the loving sister of the late Clare Joy Markee. She leaves behind her brothers-in-law, Thomas and Stanley Leemon, her niece, Maria Markee, nephew, John Markee, and sister-in-law, Michele' Hill, as well as her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gail had originally grown up in the Germantown and Olney section of the city and had become a longtime resident of South Philadelphia upon her marriage. She was a proud and dedicated nurse in a career that spanned nearly three decades working in several area hospitals. A tireless advocate for patients and their quality health and self-care, she was also the original owner and co-founder of a popular wellness business in Philadelphia. She will be remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. A special thanks to the dedicated staff of Penn Care Home Hospice Nurses and aides, Carolynn Deluca-Baroni and Shawna Green, who took the kindest, most professional, and loving care of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation and Funeral, Friday, December 5, 2025 after 9:30 AM from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1404 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment will be private.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Rachubinski & Rogers Funeral Homes.
