Linda Meyers Mitchell, 77, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Linda was born April 30, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Albert and Ruth Meyers. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Meyers.

Linda attended Erasmus Hall High School in New York. She worked hard in the Wall Street area for several years. Later in life she moved to North Carolina to care for her mother and to be closer to her family.

Linda enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, crocheting, reading and creating home-made journals. She loved watching the shopping channels, QVC and HSN. She often crocheted beautiful blankets for family, friends and their pets. She was an animal lover and had a dog she adored, affectionately known as Cosmo. Cats and dogs were her favorites.

But most of all she loved seeing people happy. Mom’s most favorite past time was gathering with her family to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas and cooking her favorite meals and desserts. She often gave thoughtful, practical gifts, and food, to her loved ones. She was a kind, generous soul who didn’t like confrontation and wasn’t one to complain. She often spent time on the phone talking to the many who called to check on her, especially her beloved cousin Sundra and her long-time companion, Kevin. She adored her brother, Keith, and spent every Saturday shopping and running errands with his wife, Michelle. She allowed few things to interfere with that special time.

She loved her daughters, son-in-law, grandkids, great grandkids, nephew and friends. She was the glue that held them all together. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Mitchell and Laurie (Francisco) Iglesias; Two grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie; two great grandchildren, Kyree and Kameela; two brothers, Al Jr. and Keith; Sister-in-Law, Michelle; and nephew, Ryan. Along with many other friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel and the service would be webcast for those whom can not attend. Burial will follow at the Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made toward the care of her beloved pet, Cosmo.
