Mrs. Linda Mae Montoya, age 76, formerly of New Era, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born in Seattle, Washington on November 5, 1947 to John and Nadine (Edens) Bustinduy and had resided in Washington prior to moving to Michigan in 1995. Linda was employed as a phone operator for the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island prior to retirement. Although she battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 40 years, Linda remained as active as possible and was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. She loved people, her church, and her God. She especially found joy in her daughter and grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Shiloh Tabernacle Church where she was active with the prayer chain. On June 9, 1985, Linda married Kenneth A. Montoya in Oak Harbor, Washington and he survives her along with her loving daughter, Kimberlee (Jeffrey) Hooker; grandchildren, Jaime (Dan) Pendell, Lyle (Amber) Hewitt, and Kayleigh Mock; 11 great-grandchildren, Alexsia (Nate), Brianna, Arleigh, Kinley, Tristen, Eamon, Arbor, Cameron, Carter, Hayden, and Hunter; her sister, Sandra (Ray) Barnes; brother-in-law, Donnie Rowles; three nephews, Chris, Nathan, and Ben; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie Rowles. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Shiloh Tabernacle Church (460 E. Tyler Road, Muskegon, MI 49445).
