Linda Muncey passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at her daughter's home in Folsom, PA. Born on November 14, 1950, in Havertown, PA, Linda's life was a testament to the power of selfless love and unwavering kindness.
Linda was the loving wife of the late David Muncey, with whom she shared 44 years of cherished memories. Her devotion to David was apparent to all who knew them, and his passing in 2021 left a void that she felt deeply every day. As a mother, Linda's heart knew no bounds. She raised her children, Kelly Johnson, Larry Johnson (Melody), and David Muncey (Emily), with an abundance of love and care that only grew with the arrival of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Adoring grandmother of 11 grandchildren Paul, Paige, Tyler, Aiden, Nathan, Alexia, Elle, Vivienne, Charlotte, Ryder & Cooper. And adoring great grandmother of Cameron and Macy. Loving sister of Bobby Simmons (Linda), Joanne Mardinly, and Tricia Kelleher (Jerry). Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Linda's role as a mother extended beyond her own family. Her home was a sanctuary for friends and loved ones, and she was always ready to provide a comforting embrace or a listening ear. Even in her teenage years, as she navigated her own challenges, Linda's doors were open to those in need, embracing them as part of her extended family. Her capacity for giving defined her very essence, and those who were touched by her generosity will forever carry a piece of her kindness.
Linda's dedication to her family was her crowning achievement. She chose to focus her energy on creating a loving home, a decision that brought her immense joy. In Linda's world, no one ever went without, and she took pride in ensuring that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren wanted for nothing. The impact of her unwavering support and the sacrifices she made for her family's well-being are her lasting legacy. She found happiness in seeing everyone doing well.
A woman of many passions, Linda found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Her happy place was Sea Isle City, where she lived for numerous years, surrounded by the serenity of the ocean. Linda's love for children was ever-present, and she cherished every moment spent in their company. Family gatherings were her delight, filled with good food, laughter, and the music she adored. Linda's kind and gentle soul made every celebration a memorable one, and her policy of never saying "No" ensured that everyone felt welcomed and loved.
Linda's life was a melody of compassion and tenderness. She exemplified what it means to be selfless, always placing the needs of others above her own. Her enduring love and her kind spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9:30-11:00 A.M. Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. Interment at a later date.
As we bid farewell to Linda Muncey, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so freely. Her memory will be a treasure held close, a reminder of the profound impact one life can have when lived with love at its core. Linda's journey on this earth has ended, but her story of love and selflessness will continue to resonate with all who were blessed to know her. My sister was a very special lady. It broke my heart when she became ill. Linda was very fortunate to have such a wonderful family to support her in her time of need. It meant so much to me that she was truly loved. I will always love her and think of her especially when I´m at the beech.
