A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Linda C. Nause will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 12:05 PM at Saint Patrick Catholic Church with Father Carlisle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Saint Patrick Catholic Church Columbarium.
Mrs. Linda C. Nause, age 79, of Meridian, MS passed away at her home with her family by her side.
Linda was a 1962 graduate of Meridian High School. She attended The University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor's Degree in education. She continued on to Mississippi State University earning a Master's Degree in Administration. She began teaching at St. Patrick Catholic School and then later she served 17 years as the principal of the school until her retirement in 2000. While there, she was honored with "The Who's Who Among American Teachers" award. Linda was a devoted parishioner to both St. Patrick's school and church.
Her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry Nause, children; Joey Nause, Lisa Reed (Rusty), John Nause, and Amy Head (Bryan), grandchildren; Dustin Rivers (Erica), Alexandria Nause, Gavin Nause, Evan Reed (Sara), Wyatt Nause, Zach Nause, Elle Head, Kelly Nause, Oliver Jeffrey Nause and Desmond Jeffrey Head, great grandchildren; Presley and West Rivers, siblings; Rick Williams (Brenda), Lisa Nation (James), and Scott Williams (Susan), and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her son Jeffrey Evan Nause, her father, Evan Edward Williams and her mother, Juanita Williams Stroble, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Petrie Nause.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick Catholic School at www.stpatrickcatholicshool.org.
