Linda Janine Parliament, born on March 10, 1960, in Joplin, Missouri, gracefully departed from this world on September 14, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. She was a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to know her.
For over two decades, Linda dedicated her professional life to Nationwide Insurance, serving as an Administrative Secretary. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, and she took immense pride in her duties. Alongside her beloved daughter, Heather, Linda initiated and ran a charity giving tree at work, demonstrating her nurturing spirit and her desire to uplift others within her community. Just months prior to her passing, in April, Linda retired, closing a chapter filled with hard work and rich experiences.
In her personal life, Linda was the embodiment of joy and affection. A loving wife to her husband, Roger Wallace, with whom she shared 31 beautiful years, Linda brought laughter and warmth into their home. Known for her outgoing personality, she never hesitated to speak her mind, often leaving those around her in stitches with her humor. Her vivacity and unyielding spirit captured the hearts of friends and family alike. Linda’s love for her granddaughter, Zoey, was especially profound; she took immense pleasure in showering her with affection and creating lasting memories.
Those who had the privilege of sharing their lives with Linda include her devoted daughter, Heather (Dane) Griffith; her cherished granddaughter, Zoey; and her siblings: sister Teresa (Lester) Aderhold and sister Cindy (Rick) Sasek. Linda also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Linda was deeply rooted in the beauty of nature and found serenity at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee, where she indulged in spending time at the water's edge, creating a home both there and with Roger in Ohio. These moments were a testament to her love for the outdoors and the importance she placed on familial bonds.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Jack and Phyllis (Keeling) League; her brother, Randy League; and her sister, Patty League. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those they left behind.
A visitation in honor of Linda will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, in Grove City, Ohio, on September 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service that will begin at 5:00 PM.
Linda Janine Parliament may have left this earthly realm, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life, aglow with laughter, love, and the unforgettable impression she has left on our lives.
