Linda L. Parrish, 79, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Monticello Healthcare.

She was born on August 29, 1944 in Elwood, IN to the late Robert and Martha (Babcock) Pugh. On June 9, 1962, she married Herbert "Herb" Parrish at Monticello United Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on October 12, 2016.

She was a 1962 graduate of Buffalo High School and was primarily a homemaker until her children were raised.  She later worked as a manager of the jewelry department for Kohl's in Lafayette until her retirement.
She was a member of  Reynolds United Methodist Church.

Linda enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, crafting, baking cakes and pies, and was an excellent cook.  She was a member of the Shafer Home Ec. Club.  She especially loved her numerous pets, both dogs and cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Patrick) Shafer of Monticello; son, Jay Dee (Kimberly) Parrish; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Ponto, Kassie Parrish, Taylor (Megan) Shafer, Brent Parrish, Chase Parrish, Cody (Samantha) Parrish, Bryton Parrish; great grandchildren, Audree Lucille, Paisley Jean, Easton, Ari, Kase, Renly, and Luelle.

In addition to her parents and husband Herb, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pugh, Jr. and sister, Janie Robbins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm celebrating Linda's life on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. Russ Alley will officiate services.

Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the White County 4-H to benefit the swine barn.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
