Linda Pringle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 72.
Linda's life began on September 9, 1953, in
El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd and Etolia (Hurd) Siegrist. Linda graduated from Butler County Community College and was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern College while working at HollyFrontier. She dedicated more than 30 years to the company, serving in supervisory roles in Operations and Maintenance. Her work ethic and care for those she worked alongside earned her the respect and friendship of many over the years.
Linda was united in marriage to Buford Pringle on January 7th, 1973, at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and the joy of showing up for one another.
Time with family was Linda's greatest joy. She loved spending weekends together at the lake house and game days in the bleachers. She was Team Pringle's loudest cheerleader – whether in the stands, the auditorium seats, or along the sidelines, her proud smile and encouraging voice could be seen and heard at every game, concert, and special event.
Linda loved fiercely and unconditionally. She had a wonderful way of loving each of us for who we are, while whole-heartedly believing in all that we could become, tirelessly supporting us in achieving our dreams. She was known for her thoughtful gifts and her knack for finding little treasures that brought joy to those she loved.
Linda made everyone feel included and cared for, always taking special care that no one ever felt left out or overlooked. Her selflessness was evident in every interaction; your dreams were her dreams, and bringing a smile to someone's face was one of her daily joys. Every gesture, no matter how small, carried her signature mix of love, humor, and intention.
Her devoted family includes her children Bethany (Deron) Pringle-Johnson of Wichita, Kyle (Jody) Pringle of Augusta, and Brie (Gregory) Pringle-Ireton of Augusta; grandchildren Deron Jr., Breelyn, Brady, Jaden, Evan, Mason, Davian, Staley, Tobey, and Zoey; and great-grandson Memphys. She is also survived by her brothers Roger (Donna) Siegrist and Robert (Carmen) Siegrist.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Buford; brother, Donald Siegrist; and her parents.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 30th, at 10:00 am at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bright Futures Augusta at 2345 Greyhound Drive, Augusta, Kansas 67010.
