Linda Sue Pyka, 69, passed away on March 3, 2026, at her home in Stephenville, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 1, 1956, in Freeport, Texas, to James Ewell and Gladyne Slade. Upon graduating high school, Linda bravely served in the United States Marine Corps. She later worked as a secretary of Dillard’s before retiring. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She loved to fish, but her greatest joy in life were her kids and grandkids. She lived a life full of love and will be greatly missed. We will cherish all the times we had with her.
Linda will be deeply missed by her husband; Roger Mallory, her sons; David Carroll and John Pyka, as well as her beloved seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Linda is preceded by both of her parents.
A funeral service will be held in Linda’s honor on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:00AM at Stephenville Funeral Home, Stephenville, Texas with a graveside service with military honors at Johnson Cemetery. The family will receive loved ones on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home.
