Entered into Life…Linda Faye Merritt Raymond, daughter of the late George and Lillie Mae Teel Merritt, was born July 19, 1954, in Greenville, North Carolina.

Linda was a member of Moores Baptist Church, where she served on the Culinary Ministry.

Linda worked for 30+ years as a chef at Reed CDC in Ft Campbell, Kentucky. She was a member of Daughters of Isis, Worthy Matron of the Eastern Stars, the Progressive Chapter #63, and the Teen Expo. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, music, dancing, traveling, softball, and spoiling her grandchildren and other children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Raymond, Jr., and a brother, Ronald Merritt.

Entered into Eternity…On Monday, March 9, 2026, Linda departed from this life. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Shelia (Troy) Mitchell, Livingston (Pastor Felicia) Merritt, and Sierra Raymond. Siblings, Alfonsa Merritt, Marsha Baugus, Vanessa (Harold) Moss, Phillip Merritt, George Merritt, Lisa McDowell, Gloria (Lesroy) Chambers, Garry (Yolanda) Merritt, Jeffery Merritt, Valerie Weaver, and Barbara (Allelle) Moore; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other close relatives and friends.
