Linda Collins Ricks, age 66 of Soperton passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2025 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

Born in Germany, she was the only child of Ernest Ashley Collins and Betty Treadwell Collins. Linda grew up in Lyons where she was a graduate of Lyons Senior High School, Class of 1977. Linda worked at various jobs to include Allen Bradley in Dublin and the Treutlen County Board of Education while attending Southeastern Technical College in Swainsboro where she earned her Paraprofessional certification. After earning her certification, she worked as a Parapro in Pre K and Kindergarten with the Treutlen County Board of Education, until retiring. Since leaving the Board of Education, Linda has worked with Dennard Drugs in Soperton since 2011.

Growing up, Linda attended the Fairview Baptist Church in Lyons. After settling in Soperton, she attended the Soperton Church of God and Trinity Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Johnny Collins, Lillian Shaw, J. D. Collins, Mary Frances Wright, Elton Collins and Richard Collins.

She leaves behind, her son, Ryan Ricks (Bethany), Orianna Community of Soperton, GA, an aunt, Wanda Collins of the Ohoopee Community, grandchildren, Emilio, Oaklyn, Ruby, Laylinn and longtime special friend, Benny Holland.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the Billy Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Hammock officiating.

Linda will be laid to rest in the Ricks Family Cemetery on Orianna Road in Treutlen County.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home or friends and family may call at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Bethany Ricks.
