Selkirk - Linda M. Romano, 78, of Selkirk, passed away Saturday, June 28th 2025, surrounded by family at St. Peter's Hospital.

Born in Albany, NY, Linda was the daughter of the late Annund and Anna Marie (Sutela) Peterson.

Linda was known for her talents as a hairdresser, and her creativity extended beyond her work - she was a gifted decorator who transformed her antique-filled home into a cozy gathering space. She especially loved hosting holidays, creating magical and love-filled celebrations for her family. She had been a hairdresser at multiple salons, most recently her own place Linda's Hair Salon for the past 15 years.

Linda's heart was always with her family. She is survived by her sons, Joseph A. (Tara) Tannatta and Aaron M. (Jamie) Tannatta; her cherished brother, Jan Peterson (Elaine); sister-in-law, Gloria Marshall; and her adored grandchildren, Ava, Olivia, Aaron (Cheyenne), Calen, Shayne, Brenna, Lucas, Lillian, and Tanner. Her three sons were the light of her life and her favorite role was being grandma "Mas" to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Linda was predeceased by her husband, Barry Romano; her son, Janson Fros; and siblings, Nils, Roger and Carol Peterson.

Linda was a calm and gentle soul who found great comfort in the presence of animals, especially her beloved dogs. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family are invited to call in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia tpk on Thursday, July 3 from 9-11am. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11am. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
