Linda Rowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Dec. 7, 2025.
Linda (Masterson) Rowe passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 84.

She was born on April 25, 1941, to the late Alfred and Della (Sutton) Masterson. Linda was united in marriage to James Earl Rowe on July 11, 1959, and shared 57 years together before his passing in 2016. Linda was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Braunecker, and a brother, Dorse "Shorty" Masterson.

Linda was a member of the last graduating class of Troy High School in 1959. She retired from General Electric in 1996, after 31 years of dedicated service. In her younger years Linda enjoyed fishing and hunting. After retirement she and Jim enjoyed being together, just simply enjoying life. Linda's most fond memories include the time spent with her loved ones and family, especially her grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. She was also a huge Atlanta Braves fan and was blessed with a recent trip to see them in person, a memory she was sure to cherish as well as her family for many years to come.

Linda is survived by her children, Lisa (Keith) Leistner, James "Bo" (Kathy) Rowe, and Jason (Rachael) Rowe all of Tell City; she was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) and Leah Leistner, Tony (Alicia), and Logan Riley, Dalee (John) Austin, Andyn (Brian) Arnold, Hunter (Mariah), Jami, and C.J. (Angel) Rowe, Derrian, Matt (Kendall), and Kade Zabel; 16 great-grandchildren, Austin, Addison, and Asher Riley, Balee, Riley, Colton, Levi, and Dallin Austin, Sonya and Zayne Leistner, Seth and Axel Morrison, Harper and Tate Arnold, Ellie and Noah Rowe, Jameson and Bodi Rowe, and Halle Zabel; and 1 great-great grandson, Toby Riley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Jack Masterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, and from 9:00am to service time Wednesday.
