Obituary published on Legacy.com by River Glenn Cremations & Funeral Services on Jan. 24, 2025.
In Loving Memory Of
Linda Sampley, 78, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born in Paris, Arkansas, Linda was the cherished daughter of Leon and Hazel Lane. In 1983, Linda married the love of her life, Ronnie Sampley, and together they shared 42 wonderful years, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, as well as a loyal friend to many. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them, especially her beloved grandchildren. Linda's warmth, kindness, and sweet spirit touched all who knew her. She had a deep love for the outdoors, was an avid fisher, and had a remarkable green thumb, nurturing her plants with care and pride. Linda will always be remembered for her gentle nature and the way she brought light to those around her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Sampley; her children, George Curtis Belt, Jr. of Van Buren, and Clifton Sampley of Danville, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Doris Ellen Lewers of Alma, Arkansas, and Martha Ann Irvin of Edmond, Oklahoma, as well as countless extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Hazel Lane, and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Jones. Linda's life will be honored and celebrated as she is laid to rest at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
