I can't help to go backwards, back to a time when life was easy, or should I say as easy as it could be when living the life we had. Constantly surrounded by siblings and packing our home for its next duty station it wasn't easy, we lost a lot, but what we gained in that process is irreplaceable. Our military lifestyle made all of us extremely close to one another. We were and still are each other's best friends. You knew us, better than we knew ourselves. And that strong and sturdy resistance, and fiercely protective nature of YOU, is what we - as a whole - will miss the most.

I personally will miss the many silent conversations we use to have - It's interesting that we could look at each other and know exactly what each other was thinking. We could carry on a conversation without saying a single word. I am thankful that these last few months, allotted us time, to really talk with one another. I listened as you expressed your sadness from what life dealt you, as you explained your fears of the unknown, and how you cried over the concerns for your children, and how they will survive without you. The unfairness of it all was your biggest struggle. I want you to know that I heard YOU Linda!! Although we cannot take your place, nor fill your shoes, we can and will be here for your children.

I struggle with this unfairness too, of you leaving without us, however, I will find solace, with Jesus' guidance and comfort, in knowing that we will continue our many silent conversations..because I know you will hear ME.

I love you, and we will meet again where the sun and the sand connect!

Thank you for being the greatest mother to ever exist. I will always remember you and I will never forget everything you have taught me. I know wherever you are, it's a better place. And where ever that may be, continue the party until i get there. Love you forever mom.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arm around you and whispered, "COME WITH ME." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best!!... I Love you so much Momma you will forever be missed!!

The Broken Chain

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

You were our STRONGEST link, and we will miss you terribly. Lock arms with Jimmie & Danny, and save a spot for us ALL!
