Linda Louise Shaw

Linda Shaw, 74, of Knox, IN, formerly of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at NW Health-La Porte.
She was born October 30, 1948 in La Porte, IN, the daughter of Norman and Frances (Parker) Hedstrom.
On July 13, 2002, at Pioneer Land in La Porte, IN, Linda married Robert H. Shaw. Linda spent most of her life in the La Porte area, until she and Robert bought a farm in Knox 20 years ago. She worked at American Rubber for many years before retiring as an x-ray technician at Howmet. She was a member of American Legion Post 0131 in Knox, IN. Linda loved to crochet and do crafts, and had an Etsy shop online where she sold her creations. She raised chickens on their farm, had beautiful flower gardens, and had a menagerie of fur babies that she adored. Linda loved dancing with her husband and going out to eat at the Bass Lake Pub. Her favorite times, though, were her "Girl's Days" spent with her daughter Lori.
Linda is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Lori (Jerry Jr) Hamlin of La Porte; sister, Susan Hedstrom of Rolling Prairie, IN; step-children, Michelle (David) Looney of North Port, FL, Yvonne Curless of La Porte, IN, Deanna (Dale) Wyatt of Cadiz, KY; dog, Freckles and cats, Daniel, Buffy, Gracie and Blackie.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Henoch; her daughter Lisa Marie Henoch; 2 sisters, Holly Jenks and Julie Laymon.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a viewing on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Cremation will take place and Linda's cremated remains will be buried at Door Village Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Haverstock Funeral Home.
