Linda Slepian, age 83, passed away on February 22, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1941, in Medina, Ohio, to the late James and Olive Koteles. Linda is survived by her cherished cousins including Donna Fouch, William (Pam) Young, Carol Reinert, Janet Newcomer (Mike Webster, deceased), Rebecca Markert (nee Newcomer) (Eric), Aaron Newcomer, Laura (nee Newcomer) (Dave) Kaldy, dear niece April Slepian, devoted lifelong friend Marjorie (Paul) Hamlin, and many others, including Cathy and Don Stock, and Christa (John, deceased) Albrecht.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Martin and her brother James Koteles.
Linda grew up in Medina, but spent her married years in Troy, Michigan with Martin. She was a world traveler and an avid gardener. Linda loved children and teaching elementary school. She was a gentle, joyful, kind, and caring soul who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Linda's family and friends wish to express our gratitude to the staff at Brookdale South, Medina for the care and compassion they provided to Linda during her time as a resident. Thank you also to the nurses, aides, and doctors at the Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital for the comfort and care she received.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in Linda's honor.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12pm. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
