Linda Sutton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Voss & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services on Oct. 14, 2024.
Linda Lee (Miller) Sutton, 74, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in Seymour on September 27, 1950, to the late Robert E. and Shirley A. (Disney) Miller.
Linda attended Immanuel Lutheran School and married her high school sweetheart. A lifelong homemaker, her greatest mission in life was taking care of her family, and she adored them all. She constantly had a grandchild with her for sleepovers, movies, swimming, playing board games, or telling scary stories. Linda will be remembered as selfless and giving, someone who never knew a stranger. She was known to be organized and neat in everything she did. She was a talented artist who liked to draw and paint, especially portraits of her beloved family. She also enjoyed decorating, dancing, and music from every era. She loved the Lord and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed attending worship and bible studies.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Wetzel, Rhoda (Carl) Sprague, and Carrie Sutton; grandchildren, Shawn Sprague, Amber (Mike Stavroules) Sprague, Justin Sprague, Jessica (Nick) Filosa, Anna (Dylan) Mullins, and Jeanna (Isaih) Grose; great grandchildren, Autumn, Hunter, Calvin, Jackson, and Lena; sister, Peggy (Robert) Mellencamp; nephews, Michael, Marshall, and Travis Mellencamp; and many great friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; and grandson, Robbie Fugett.
Funeral services for Linda will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour. Reverend Andrew Currao and Reverend Zachary Huffman will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery immediately following.
Memorial contributions in Linda's honor may be made out to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

I´m so very sad to hear about my cousin, Linda, passing away. I met her after my mom´s funeral in Seymour and she and her sister,Peggy, were comforting and kind. I´ll never forget her special and vibrant spirit. I am so glad I got to visit with her, and had hoped to see her again. Sharing in your sorrow. Sending our love and prayers across the miles.
