NORTH LEWISBURG – Linda K. Thompson, 68 of North Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Linda was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on Oct. 5, 1957 to the late Calvin M. and Charlotte (Grimes) Caldwell.
Linda married Lavoy Thompson on Dec. 10, 1982 and he survives in North Lewisburg. She is also survived by her best friend, Karen Baldwin; brother, Curtis (Gretchen) Caldwell; cousins, Debbie and Denise; aunt and uncle, Kathleen and Bill Smith; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Anna Lee and Dick Hildreth; nieces, Rachel and Courtney; and special companion, Max.
Linda started her 30-year career as a licensed optician with Dr. Stang, prioritizing her patients' care. She belonged to the Eastern Star and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Despite facing numerous health challenges, Linda consistently stayed positive and fought hard. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. at the EICHHOLTZ & DARING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lewisburg.
