Linda Carolyn Van Pelt, 85 went to be with Jesus in her Heavenly home on May 6, 2025. She was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas on March 4, 1940, to Earl and Audrey Garrett Reynolds who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Van Pelt and her son, Timothy Ray Van Pelt.
Linda was a graduate of the class of 1958 at Greenbrier High School. After graduating, she attended Central Baptist College. She was an accomplished pianist and singer. She served as pianist for several churches and for the Central Baptist Men’s Quartet while she was a student. She was a member of several school and church trios, a talented cook, and she loved to capture family memories in photographs. After being a stay-at home mom while her children were in school, she became a beautician who loved making her clients feel their best.
Linda was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and often served as pianist.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Stacy) Johnson of Little Rock, Brad Van Pelt of Greenbrier and Neamber Marquez of Brimingham, AL.
She is also survived by her brother, Gary Reynolds and his wife, Brenda of Conway, her grandchildren, Brittany (Chris) Payne, Cassie (Reid) Atkinson, Amanda Van Pelt, Jaylynn (Clark) Hogan, Katie Van Pelt, Shane (Allison) Johnson, Hagan Van Pelt, Brenlie Van Pelt, Claire Marquez and Mia Marquez; nieces, Angie Benton and Debbie Van Pelt; nephew, Kevin Reynolds; and 9 great grandchildren with another expected in July.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas with service following at 1:00 p.m. with burial following to East Shady Grove Cemetery.
