Linda M. Walker, 77, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, February 21, 2025, at Fort Dodge Health & Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South with Pastor Nicholas Thackery officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Linda, affectionately nicknamed “Nin” or “Ninny” by those who adored her, was born June 21, 1947, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Jerry and Garnett (Jones) Walker. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. Over the years, Linda was involved in a bowling league, union steward, and the Fort Dodge Health & Rehab Residence Council where she served as an advocate for the residents and head of the craft department. She will be remembered for her positive spirit, a knack for all things crafty, and her undying love for family, especially her babies. Though Linda may be gone, the precious moments shared with her will be cherished forever.
Linda is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings: Beverly Tiernan, Carol McNealy, Charlie Walker, Jerry Weaver, and Jane Parks; Niece Cindy Tiernan and nephews: Brent Tiernan, Jacob Drummond & Austin Kleemeier.
