Linda Walker, a beloved figure in her community and a dedicated professional, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Marion, Indiana, the age of 77. Born on April 19, 1948, in Bradshaw, West Virginia, Linda's journey through life was marked by her commitment to her family, her work, and her passions.
During her career, Linda served with distinction in medical administration at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion. Her role reflected her deep-seated desire to contribute to the well-being of others, especially those who had served the country.
Linda was a devoted family woman. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Walker, who was not only her partner but also her best friend. Her legacy continues through her children, Brian (Dawn) Butts and Jennifer Bosley, along with her cherished grandchildren: Amber, Courtney, Brady, Cody, Alexis, and her great-grandchildren: Harlow, Henderson, Theo, Clara, Maya, Cora, Eric, Blake, and Zephyr. Linda also leaves behind her brothers, Dale Rowe and Phillip Rowe, and her sister, Sandy Johnson.
In addition to her family, Linda brought joy and laughter to those around her. She had a passion for Indiana University basketball and enjoyed bowling during her younger years. A lover of games, she especially found joy in playing cards, particularly Euchre, often gathering with family and friends to enjoy these moments together.
Linda was predeceased by her mother, Hazel Rowe, and her brother, Bob Rowe, as well as her grandparents. Their memories live on in the hearts of those she has left behind.
The memory of Linda Walker will be honored during visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM on February 24, 2026, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion, Indiana. Linda's spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family as they navigate the days ahead without her physical presence; while cherishing the love and warmth she brought into their lives.
