Ms. Linda Mae Waters

Ms. Linda Mae Lunsford Waters, 70, of Hickory passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care following a period of declining health. Linda was born on February 28, 1948 in Buncombe County to the late Herman Edward Lunsford and Lillie Mae Goldsmith Lunsford. She attended Freedom Assembly Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Brown; and granddaughter, Kelly Jean Stanley. Survivors include her daughters, Lora Price and husband Gene of Lenoir, and Tammy Reed and husband Harold of Morganton; sister, Ruth Franklin of Marshall; and grandchildren, Jackie Cooper and husband Jake, Jamie Allison, Ronni Stevens, Jeremie Brown, Ryan Brown, Nathan Bright, Harold Reed III, and Nicole Taylor; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 2:00PM at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care at 1721 Enon Rd.
