Linda Ann Williams Byrd, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Pastor Bobby Fields and Pastor Kenneth McMillian will officiate.
Linda was born on August 1, 1956, in Macon, Georgia to the late Mr. Allen Carvis Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Keppler. Linda enjoyed fishing, and the simplicity of it. When she was able, she spent much of her time gardening and making a beautiful oasis. She was an avid supporter and volunteer for Special Olympics and made many lasting friendships within. Linda's devoted heart extended to her friends. She would attend concerts and listen to the blues, but her love for music didn't stop there. She would make sure she always stayed up to date on the latest Country music and artists. Above all, her family was the light of her life; each year the family would look forward to decorating the Christmas tree with her. Her fondest memories are the ones she made with her family. Linda's loyal heart, giving spirit and loving laugh will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Stafford; and brother, Allen Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robin Williams (Rachael) and Kimberly Byrd; brother, Bill Williams; sisters, Carol Williams and Lola Floyd; grandchildren, Lauren Williams Marletta (Zach) and Corey Williams (Jenny); four legged friends, Lucy, Brownie and Tazzie; and a host of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that you make donations in Linda's honor to the Local Area 7 Special Olympics Organizations.

Mrs. Linda was truly a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of getting to know her since 2018. She sure was a tough ol' bird. :) I will miss seeing her & hearing her stories and updates on her family, watching her eyes light up talking about her "babies" - both 4 legged and human, and showing off pictures & hearing about her fishing trips and how much she missed Kim when she was off to camp, and so on. Such a big, wonderful soul in such a little woman! I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross & my life has been truly blessed from her. My prayers are with you all, as I know that she will be greatly missed. Sending lots of love and prayers with you, now and the days ahead.
