Linda M (née Lumsden) Woloszyk, 85, of Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and closest friends. Born on November 5, 1940, in Melrose Park, Illinois, Linda was the daughter of Thearon "Ted" and Fern (née Watson) Lumsden, who instilled in her the values of personal strength, perseverance, and family devotion that guided her throughout her life.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Matthew Woloszyk, with whom she shared many years of love, family, and cherished memories before he passed away in 1980 at the early age of 39. Together they built a warm and welcoming home raising their four sons who were their greatest source of pride.
She is survived by her sons David (Karin), Todd (Kim), and Tim, who will forever remember her steady strength, humor, and unwavering love. Linda was preceded in death by her son Dean (Edie), whose memory she held close to her heart.
A devoted grandmother, Linda leaves behind five grandchildren-Kelsey (Erik), Kaitlynn (Kaleb), Ryan (Dani), Steven (Jessica), and Amanda-each of whom brought her immense joy. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Bradley, Mason, Cooper, Kaylee, Matthew, Charlotte, Parker, Calvin, Luka, and Blair, celebrating every new addition to the family with warmth and delight.
Linda spent most of her days working around her house and loved gardening in her yard. She will be remembered for her resilience through life's challenges, and the love she carried for her family and the lifelong friendships she developed with her closest "bunco friends." Her legacy lives on in the generations she encouraged and inspired.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
