Linda Zephier, 76, of Marty Linda died Friday, June 13, 2025 at her home in Marty. Wake services will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM at the Marty Community Center. Funeral services are 10 AM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at St Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial is in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Linda was born to Jeanette (Hallowell) and Fred Drapeau Sr. in Winnebago, Nebraska. She attended school and graduated from Marty Mission in 1966. Linda had three children whom she loved very much: Stanley W. Claplannoo, Carol J. Reamer, and Adrienne L. Zephier. She lived in North Chicago and Neah Bay, Washington, for many years before returning home in 1976. In 1979, she met her husband, Althebert "Bootie" Zephier, and they later married on July 23, 1999 in Lake Andes, SD. Throughout her life, Linda worked various jobs, but in 1991, she began her long-term position at the Fort Randall Casino, where she worked for over 30 years in the slot department. Linda loved attending church every Sunday and served as the treasurer for St. Paul's Kateri Circle for many years, enjoying the many trips she took with her Kateri family. Linda even made a trip to Rome and met the Pope for the canonization of St. Kateri. Linda loved to travel, especially with her sisters. She enjoyed seeing the country and visiting different casinos to play Bingo! They even made it to The Price is Right four times and met Bob Barker. Linda also cherished her trips to Washington State (her second home) and the Makah Reservation to visit her children, grandchildren, and the many friends she had there. Linda had a passion for watching sports and cheering for her teams, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother and their #1 fan. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Leilani Tyler (Leah), Faith Tyler (Daniel), Jongi Claplannoo, Captain Claplannoo, John Reamer, Matthew Reamer, Brannon Bruguier, and Brycen Bruguier. Linda will be remembered for her years of dedication to the Fort Randall Casino, where she was cherished by both her customers and coworkers. She had a smile that lit up the room and consistently shared compassion and kindness with everyone she met. She leaves behind to mourn her three children: Stanley W. Claplannoo (Alana) and Carol J. Reamer (Thomas) of Neah Bay, WA and Adrienne L. Zephier (Doug) of Marty, SD; husband Althebert "Bootie" Zephier; sisters Judy Pena and Mona Drapeau; brothers Fred "Babe" Drapeau Jr. and Victor (Beverley) Drapeau; and many nieces, nephews, God-children and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jeanette Drapeau; sisters, Audrey Faith, Betty Drapeau, Marion Weston, Roberta Ketcheshono, and Debra Drapeau; and brother, Thomas Drapeau.
