Funeral services for Lindsey McKinnon, of Greenville, MS will be held at Restoration Church located at 1265 S. Main Street, Greenville, MS on Friday, November 01, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Lindsey was born in Greenville, MS on July 08, 1982, to Curtis Dendy and Terri Snider. She married her husband Brett (Bucky) McKinnon on July 20, 2000.
Lindsey spent most of her early adult life as a stay-at-home mom, devoting her life to her husband and children. She worked for Hovas Construction for 10 years until she pursued her calling in Education. She graduated with her master's degree in education from Delta State University in 2022. She served as a teacher for Greenville Public Schools, Western Line School District, and Deer Creek School.
To know Lindsey was to love her. She had a servant's heart and always put others before herself. To many she was "Momma Lin." She loved fiercely and unconditionally. Her infectious laugh could bring a smile to any face and her hugs could cure any sorrow. She was the epitome of strength and a true one in a million.
She is survived by her husband Brett (Bucky) McKinnon; her two children, Hunter and Ana McKinnon; her parents, Curtis Dendy and Terri Snider (Bruce); two sisters, Taylor Dendy and Maranda Toten (Steven); two stepbrothers, Dex and AJ Snider; two Nephews, Thompson Threet and Braxton Toten; five nieces, Megan McKinnon, Alissa West (Will), Kendall McKinnon, Ashton Toten, and Aubrie Owen; her in-laws, Tommy and Sally McKinnon and her brother-in-law Shawn McKinnon (Jennifer). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that became family.
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high, will rest in the shadow of the almighty." Psalm 91:1
