This obituary was lovingly submitted by the family of Linfield Henry Bennett.
Linfield Henry Bennett, age 67, passed away at home in Laurel, Maryland on May 5, 2024.
Linfield was born on May 25, 1956, in Guyana South America, to Agnes (Parjohn) & Henry Bennett. He met his wife Kim in Guyana at the age of 18, and they were married in 1986. In the Amazon Rainforest of Guyana Linfield mined for gold before he later began his education to become a nurse. Once he moved to America in 1989 he continued his education and became a Registered Nurse (RN). Linfield worked as an RN for over 30 years until he retired in 2021.
Linfield shared exciting stories of his time in the Amazon and his later experiences of learning how to fly planes. Other than being a devoted nurse, and a wonderful provider to his wife and daughter, he was an even more amazing grandfather who lit up at the sight of his two grandsons who meant the world to him. Linfield will be missed, but never forgotten.
Linfield is survived by his wife of over 35 years Kim Bennett, daughter Chennel Stroud (son-in-law Daryl Stroud Sr.), grandchildren Daryl Stroud Jr. & Dylan Stroud, Brother Talbert Bennett, Sister Rosaline Bennett, and many nieces and nephews. Linfield was preceded in death by his mother & father, Agnes & Henry Bennett.
Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time. Memorial service details will be communicated with the family at a later time.
