Linwood "Lin" Jarrett

Linwood “Lin” Jarrett, 86, of Prince George County, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home. He was a native of Waverly, Virginia and grew up in Blandford. He was the son of the late Helen Vick. He was preceded in passing by his brothers, James, Herbert, and Buddy Jarratt; uncles, Henry, Eldridge, and Hinton Vick. Lin was the owner of Lin Jarrett Heating and Air Conditioning Co., which was his passion being there to serve his community for 47 years of continued service. He was also a lifetime member of the Colonial Hunt Club. He is survived by his wife, Penny Smith Jarrett; son, Todd Jarrett and wife Carrie; daughter, Jennifer Jarrett Beverly, and husband Keith; stepdaughter, Tonya Kestner; sisters, Stella Delbridge, and Helen Ruth Turner; grandchildren, Matt Elliott, Meaghan Elliott Geren and husband Hunter, Kendall Jarrett Mitchell; special Friend and colleague, Jamie Grissom; close friend, Cathy Grizzard; friend and caretaker, Teresa Banks; neighbor, Mike Woods. The family would like to give special thanks to Crater Community Hospice. A funeral service will be held on 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice 3916 S.
