Lisa McLane Abrams, 61, of Prosperity, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 6, 1963, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of Carol Dominick Van Damm and the late Emmett Franklin McLane. Lisa retired from the Newberry County School District after 32 years of service and presently was serving as the area director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands. She was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church and the Newberry Rotary Club.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Ron Abrams; her mother and step-father, Carol and Keith Van Damm of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Sarah (Jesse) Griffin, Stacie (Kevin) Willard and Baylee (Sloan) Hazel all of Newberry and Olivia Abrams of Prosperity; son, Elijah Abrams of Prosperity; sisters, Lori (Chris Dunn) Griffin of Newberry and Beth Voehl of Maryland; brothers, James (Kimberly) McLane of Middleburg, FL and John “Buster” McLane of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kaden Griffin, Jackson Griffin and Kevin Davis Willard; niece and nephew, Whitney Mialkowski and Alexander (Kelsey) Griffin and great-nieces and great-nephews, Aeson, Aspen, Bodhi, Nayvee and Addilee. She was predeceased by a brother, Russell McLane.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dan Ratchford. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Private burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the GAAP program through Smyrna Presbyterian Church, 32 Smyrna Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
